Apply for Membership

Membership is open to established practitioners in trusted digital systems and allied fields. To apply, you need at least 3 years of professional practice, evidence of at least 2 of the 5 indicators below, and your agreement to the Association's Code of Conduct.

A considered, multi-step review

Submit your application with evidence of your documented practice.
The Membership Office reviews your submission against the published requirements.
If a Fellow has nominated you, your record additionally goes to independent Expert Reviewers and to the Selection Committee.
You’re notified by email at every step, and admitted on a favourable decision.

This is a deliberate, evidence-based process — not an instant sign-up.

Fellowship nomination code (optional)

This is a one-time code in the form NOM-XXXX-XXXX that a current Fellow generates when they nominate you — it’s emailed to you directly. It is not a membership ID. If someone gave you their member number (MATDS-…), that won’t work here: ask a Fellow to open “Nominate a colleague” in their portal and put your name forward, and you’ll receive your own code by email. PM.1 Professional employment history with increasing responsibility in trusted digital systems or allied fields.

PM.2 Technical contributions (code, articles, talks, documentation) with a verifiable public record.

PM.3 Leadership of projects, teams, or initiatives with demonstrable outcomes.

PM.4 Mentorship, teaching, or sustained community participation.

PM.5 Continuous professional development: certifications, advanced training, or ongoing education.
