Privacy Policy
The Meret Association for Trusted Digital Systems (MATDS) collects only the information it needs to assess eligibility, make recognition decisions, and maintain the public register.
Information held by the Association
We hold only what people give us when they seek recognition or use member services: the name, contact details, professional history, and supporting evidence submitted with a Membership application or a Fellowship nomination; member portal login details; and the internal review records generated when an application is processed. We do not seek sensitive personal information and ask that you not submit it.
Purposes
Information is used only to run the Association's recognition function: to assess eligibility, to reach decisions by administrative review or peer election, to let a third party verify a member's current standing, and to operate member services and the permanent public register.
We do not trade in personal information
The Association does not sell, rent, or license personal information, and never conditions recognition on payment. Information is disclosed only with your consent, where the law requires it, or as part of the public record of recognition.
What is kept, and what is not
The public facts of an election or admission, and the records that support a conferred credential, are kept as part of the permanent register so a credential can be verified for as long as it stands. Materials for candidates who are not recognized, and the files of a nominee who declines verification, are not retained. Internal deliberative records are never made public.
Your information
To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to raise a concern, write to [email protected].
This is the Association's current privacy statement and may be updated from time to time. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
