The Selection Committee
Fellows are elected by the Selection Committee — senior members of the field who decide each candidacy on the panel's recommendation. Most of its voting members come from outside Meret Solutions, and no one from a sponsor votes on a candidate tied to that sponsor.
Who sits on the Committee
Five to eleven senior members of the field
- Elects Fellows; open Membership is handled separately
- Majority of voting members external to Meret Solutions
- Seated to cover the ten technical sections
- Serves under published terms of reference and conflict rules
How it decides
Election is by two-thirds
- A candidacy carries when two-thirds of seated members vote to confer it
- The vote is set down in a signed election record
- The Governance Board then confirms the published procedure was followed
- The Board does not repeat the panel's assessment
